Museum Communities Can Support New Parents
At Babies in Museums we provide practical on-the-ground advice and recommendations about visiting museums with a baby in our reviews section. We provide a one-stop-shop listing all the museum-based baby events in your area in our What’s On section. We provide top tips and highlight museums who go that extra mile for babies in our blog. Because we are a constantly growing community we encourage everyone to share their experiences and pool knowledge by joining in.
Museum Communities + Postnatal Mental Health
Museums are sociable, stimulating and sensory spaces where babies and very young children can explore the world. The Sussex Baby Lab led the way in demonstrating the developmental advantages of museum visits for babies. Museums + Heritage have demonstrated what babies can gain by visiting museums. If you have older children visit Kids in Museums.
Helping Museums to Welcome Parents and Babies
Our reviews and blog posts are based on a single visit and are provided without bias or agenda. We are always constructive and practical in the reviews we give. We work closely with museums to support them in welcoming and providing for babies and their adults. If you work for a museum and would like more information about the consultation and training services Babies in Museums can offer we would be thrilled to hear from you. Get in touch!
